SB1: Visual Subject: Haute Couture

The visual subject I decided to choose was haute couture, mostly because everything else on the list didn't seem as appealing to me and I knew haute couture would offer plenty of patterns for me to use and would get me drawing the human anatomy (something I wanted to practice doing). 

I watched some "fashion" films, like zoolander and drew the main character from that. I also watched devil wears prada and that later influenced my work. 

I took out a book from the library on punk fashion and started drawing from that just to get some very basic ideas on fashion. 

I really liked the harnesses inside and drew a few of those. 

Hairstyles were also something that came into Haute Couture as well and I look forward to experimenting with those more.
