Secret 7: Tertiary

TERTIARY 

This was the last cover I made for secret 7. I was still thinking about time when making this  piece also, I was thinking about how a body ages and also about tertiary layers in the earth. I researched looking at skin cells and layers in the earths crust. This informed the whole cover as I took most of the inspiration from that. 
The pinker layers resembled human skin layers (with the lines acting as blood vessels) and the darker under layers were meant to be symbolic of what had started there (anger - orange, sadness - blue, acceptance - dark pink happiness and freedom - lighter pinks). 


It was the quickest out of the three I made, I made it in a day. Again it was made with gouache and then taken again to photoshop, where I then decided to add words on top of it and brighten the colours. (The picture in my issuu is for some reason REALLY bright.. its not that bright). If I could go back and redo this one, I probably would. I would have liked to experiment more with typography for all three of the Secret 7's, this one in particular could have been improved with it's own typography. 
 It would have been nice to bring in some proper skin cells and maybe try it out in a few different colours (maybe the grand canyon colours).
