FMP: Choosing Gouache

Since my tutorial I've started to paint my boards, I think it's unlikely I will have them finished to the standard I want for hand in day, however that's not really the point now. I want to have it finished for the End Of Year Show and I do think that's within my reach, also with everyone's deadlines being around the same time, the print room will be far quieter and I can ask James more questions about books as well as having more time with the assistants down at Vernon to help me with the bookbinding (I havent decided whether to make it hard back, I think it might be nice for the show so that it doesn't get too crumpled by people).

At this moment, all I've really done is just paint the pieces and think about how I want them on each page. I brightened the levels on these 2 pages just so you can see the general idea of how they would look (actually maybe not THIS bright but you know.. brighter). I love how they keep their texture even after being transferred into photoshop.

At first I was having a problem getting stuck and frustrated with the pieces I was making, a way past this was suggested to me. To simply sketch out a few pages and then once I've had enough of one, leave it and paint another and come back to it later. This will stop me ruining pieces (or ripping them up... yes I did that.. yes I regret it).

This one is VERY bright and I actually dont think the final will be that bright, however this is just to display how the finer details can be put in digitally. Painting clothes that small simply isnt an option, what is a possibility is digitally doing it, OR painting the character seperate and putting it in.
