Nightmares part 2 was image wise far easier to edit, I painted it in a square format (for no particular reason, It just worked best in square) but it was a lot easier to make neat in a square format.
I tried to add words over the top, as I had done with the first cover but after seeing it on the second one I realised that this wasn't going to work. I want the comics to be A5 sized, which is where I hit my next problem, the first cover was too long and narrow to fit comfortably into A5 and this one, the second was a square so it was wide enough but not tall enough. Lesson learnt here is paint to the damn size you want or at least like A4 so I can make it smaller.
Moving forward I placed a black background onto an A5 photoshop file and added the image and text in afterwards. For a while I was staring at my screen trying to decide whether it worked or not, I got a few people's opinions and most really preferred the black strips for text. Sometimes I get too into the zone when I'm making something and I can't figure out for the life of me what it should look like.
Happy that this is now the format they will all fit into, Im going to adjust the first and third accordingly.
