FMP: First Cover Progress
I took the first image into photoshop and it actually came out perfectly once I had brightened the colours, it didn't take very long to clone stamp some of the imperfections. The next thing was placing the character next to the fire, my anatomy drawing practice from earlier came in handy and it was fairly easy to put her there. I played around with different coloured trousers and combos to see what would work best but after a while I realised that she didn't actually fit in as well as I originally planned. I quite liked how the image worked without her in it, your eyes naturally move down the page rather than fixtating on her and missing the details in the background.
After deciding this I just hid her layer whilst I was thinking how to arrange the text. At the moment I'm kind of stuck on it, rather than spending too long worrying about it. I'm going to move to the next cover because I think whatever I do is going to have to work across all three to give them a sense of belonging to each other.
